Small batch french toast feeds 2 people with 3 diagonal slices per person.
Ingredients
Large Batch
- 4 Large Eggs
- 1/2 cup Heavy Cream
- 8 slices Texas Toast Bread
- 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- Pinch of Salt
Small Batch
- 3 Slice Texas Toast
- 1 Large Egg
- 3-4 tbsp Heavy Cream
- 1/4 tsp Vanilla Extract
- Pinch of Salt
- 2-3 tbsp Brown Sugar
Additional Ingredients
- Berries/Fruit
- Confectioners Sugar (Dusting)
Instructions
- In a bowl mix eggs, heavy cream, sugar, salt, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Heat a skillet and add butter.
- Dip each slice of bread in the batter making sure to coat on both sides before adding to the buttered skillet.
- Cook french toast on both sides until golden brown. Remove from skillet and repeat until all slices are cooked.
- Slice diagonally into triangles and top with Fruit and confectioners sugar.
- Enjoy!
