Good morning and happy Wednesday! Today’s recipe is my spin on the classic cheesesteak. It’s a mixture of a steak and cheese (Shout Out DMV) and a Philly cheesesteak. In NO way would I consider this a authentic recipe but I do consider it good and definitely feel the recipe is worth a try. Back home we used to order steak and cheese subs from the local carryouts and you could load them up with shrimp and all of the fixings you wanted. This recipe screams home to me 🙂 Give this recipe a try and let me know what you think!

Instructions
- Prep all ingredients before hand. Chop veggies, peel shrimp, measure ingredients, etc.
- In a large skillet add cooking oil, raw shrimp, and old bay. Cook shrimp until they become opaque. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet add additional cooking oil and cook green peppers and onion until soft. Remove and set aside.
- In a saucepan add processed cheese, milk, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, paprika, mustard, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. You can add these ingredients as the cheese is melting and only cook until cheese is fully melted. Do not overcook.
- Add more cooking oil to the skillet and begin cooking your steak. Season with salt & pepper.
- While steak is just about finished cooking top with shrimp, cooked peppers, and cheese. You can turn the heat to low.
- You can toast your hoagie roll while the cheese is melting. Once toasted add condiments to your roll (mayo, mustard, etc.)
- Take bread and place it on top of the melted cheese, use a spatula to scoop the ingredients into the hoagie roll.
- Top with cheese sauce and additional toppings (lettuce, tomato, etc.)
- Enjoy!
