Hey Guys! I got a new recipe that is perfect for your next grilling day…honestly its perfect for any day. I grew up in a house where we made burgers from scratch and we had them allllllll the time. I’m always looking for new ways to spruce up the classic cheeseburger and I think this is the perfect recipe. Just think about the perfect sirloin steak topped with blue cheese and caramelized onions in the form of a hand held burger. Ingredients
Burger Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground Sirloin
- .5 lb Portabello Mushroom (Finely chopped)
- 2/3 cup Crumbled Blue Cheese
- 1 tbsp Steak Seasoning
- 2 tbsp Worcestershir Sauce
- 2 cups Sliced Onions
- 2 tbsp Unsalted Butter
- 1 tbsp Cooking Oil
- Buns
Optional Toppings
- Sautéed Mushrooms
- Arugula
- Tomato
- Steak sauce
- Mayonnaise
Instructions
- Cut and slice onions until you have about 2 cups.
- In a skillet add butter and cooking oil. Allow butter to melt before adding onions.
- Cook on high until onions are almost translucent. Lower heat and check periodically until onions are caramelized.
- In a large bowl add ground sirloin, chopped mushroom, steak seasoning, worcestershir and steak sauce. combine well.
- Add blue cheese crumbles and gently mix until well incorporated. (Careful not to overwork your meat)
- Score your meet into 4 patties. Form thick patties and set aside.
- Cook burgers in a skillet or on a grill. Totally your choice.
- Top buns with arugula, burger, caramelized onion, steak sauce, mayo, and more blue cheese.
