Good Morning you guys! I’ve been super busy lately with life and have been on a mission to make life easier for me around the house. One of the things I’ve started to focus on lately would be preparing quick meals that are delicious and allow me more time to tackle everything else. Lately, my go-to would have to be sheet pan meals. One of my favorite new meals to cook would be loaded fries. They can be made for dinner or lunch. I’ve recently discovered McCain® Quick Cook Fries which cook in half the time* compared to traditional McCain fries. They are Faster to Prepare. Easier to Share. You can turn these fries into a hearty dinner or a quick after-school snack. There are three different varieties: Crinkle Cut, Waffle Cut, and Straight Cut.
If you haven’t tried this product yet you are definitely missing out. One of the best parts of using this product is the minimal need for attention during the cooking process. Once these fries are in the oven there’s no need to babysit because flipping during the cooking process is not required. They are also made with no artificial flavors, which means serving natural potato goodness to your family and friends. They take only a few minutes to make these 100% real, 100% delicious fries for a hot-from-the-oven side the whole family will eat just as fast! Oh, and did I mention they are made with real potatoes?! Yes, that’s right, real food!

Ok, enough of my yapping, I want to get to the recipe. I love all three varieties of fries but for today’s recipe, I’ll be using the Waffle Cut variety to make a family fave, Loaded Pizza Fries. These fries possess everything you love about pizza but with a yummy garlic butter sauce that takes this dish to the next level. It’s super easy to make and your family will love this as an after-school or afternoon snack. Let go over a few notes before we jump into the recipe.
Quick Cooking Notes:
Fries: I used the Waffle Cut variety but McCain also has the Straight Cut and Crinkle Cut versions if you decide to change it up.
Cheese: You can go pretty crazy here. I’m using a blend of Italian cheeses but you can keep it simple by just using mozzarella or even freshly grated parmesan. I’ll leave that totally up to you.
Butter Garlic Sauce: I’m using unsalted sweet cream but you can use clarified butter if you have it.
Toppings: This is the fun part because you can go as crazy as you want here using all of your favorite toppings. Feel free to add all the protein and veggies you want!
Now, let’s get into this recipe! All ingredients and directions are listed below.
*Less oven cook time compared to McCain’s traditional fries.
Ingredients
- 1 bag McCain Quick Cook Waffle Cut Fries
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1/2 tbsp Italian seasoning
- Pepper to taste
- 1 cup Shredded Italian Cheese Blend
- 1/4-1/2 cup pepperoni slices
- 1/2 lb Italian sausage (Links or Ground)
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp dried parsley
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- salt to taste
- 1/4 cup pizza sauce
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425° F.
- Start by adding french fries to a large bowl and tossing them with olive oil, Italian seasoning, pepper, and salt.
- Spread frozen fries in a single layer on a dark, non-stick baking sheet or shallow baking pan. Bake according to the instructions on the packaging (no flipping required):
- While french fries are in the oven prep the rest of your ingredients.
- In a small saucepan melt butter and add garlic powder, dried parsley, and salt. Stir until well incorporated and set aside. (You will need to reheat this right before adding it to the finished dish.)
- Next, roll your Italian sausage meat into small balls and cook in a frying pan until fully cooked. Remove from heat and drain on a paper towel.
- Once your french fries are golden brown and completely cooked, remove them from the oven and turn on the broiler function on your oven.
- Next, add your pizza toppings. Start with shredded cheese, then add your pepperoni slices, cooked sausage, and more cheese if you like.
- Place sheet pan back in the oven under the broiler and cook until the cheese is melty and bubbly. Remove from oven and drizzle with garlic butter mixture.
- Serve with warm pizza sauce on the side for dipping.
Sounds awesome. Will look for these fries.
