Easy New Year’s Eve Appetizers!
Hello and welcome back! I have a new recipe for you guys and it’s the perfect New Year’s Eve appetizer. It’s actually pretty perfect for any occasion PLUS it’s super easy to make and comes together quickly. The hardest part about this recipe is the small amount of chopping we need to do…. oh, and waiting for it to be done so you can sneak a taste 😉
I’m big on hosting and cooking really amazing food for my guests. The thing that makes the process of hosting in taking shortcuts. I always make sure to buy quality products that can pass for homemade. Gorton’s seafood products are perfect for this. Their products are perfectly breaded and great for presentation. Check out some of my other appetizers perfect for New Years’ Eve parties, game days, or just any occasion.
Best Shrimp Appetizer!
I’m calling this the best shrimp appetizer because it’s semi-homemade. Gorton’s literally does the heavy lifting on this one. The Gorton’s Butterfly Shrimp is perfectly breaded and golden brown. It’s perfectly “fried” shrimp every time you pop them in the oven. Your guests will think you’re amazing for this dish. Trust me! It also uses very few ingredients, but just enough to make this a fresh and impressive recipe. Serving the perfect New Year’s Eve appetizer is the best way to impress your guests before the main course even begins.
Gorton’s Seafood: Gorton’s Butterfly Shrimp Appetizer
Let’s go over a few recipe notes before we jump into the full recipe:
- Shrimp: This recipe uses Gorton’s Butterfly Shrimp but you could also use the Gorton’s Popcorn Shrimp if you prefer.
- Sauce: Make sure to use full fat heavy cream. It’s the best for this dish and cooks into a nice sauce consistency.
- Parmesan: I recommend using fresh parmesan cheese. If you don’t have any on hand you can use shredded parmesan cheese instead. I would probably give it a small chop to break up any large pieces for the garnish.
- Shallot: I like the use of shallot in this recipe because of it’s flavor. If you don’t have any you could substiitue the shallot for white or yellow onion. Make sure to finely mince the onion.
