Hi guys! I’m back with another recipe and giveaway!
Welcome to my little corner of the web. I am so thrilled to have so many new subscribers. I decided to welcome you with a quick bio, a new recipe, and giveaway. You’ll learn pretty quick that I tend to stray away from longer posts–SN: This is probably the longest post you’ll see 🙂 I usually get right to the reason people are here… the recipe!
For those who are new to the blog I’ve actually been on quite the hiatus and have recently rejoined the blogging world about 2 months ago. I’m in the process of updating things so don’t be alarmed if one day you visit the blog and it looks totally different. I’m not a chef by any means I’m just a person who loves to watch cookings shows and create recipes for my family and friends. I like to think of myself as the at home cooks best friend 🙂 I also enjoy a cocktail or two with my meal. I feature various recipes from appetizers, mains, desserts, and cocktails.
Now onto this giveaway! Some of you may know that I am a Rodelle Ambassador–if you aren’t familiar with their amazing baking ingredients I encourage you to take a look here. I used two of their vanilla products in this recipe and I’m giving away these products to 2 lucky subscribers! I’ll be giving away the Rodelle Vanilla Paste and the Rodelle Pure Vanilla Extract (4 oz). The giveaway rules are simple! Follow me on Facebook or Instagram and leave a comment below or on the Instagram or Facebook Post letting me know your favorite breakfast recipe.Thats it!These are the only products I use when it comes to baking or making sweet/dessert recipes.
I’m also pretty active on Instagram and soon to be Facebook. If you’re not already I encourage you to follow my accounts to see cooking videos, daily updates, and more. A newsletter will publish whenever there’s a new blog post. I may also check in from time to time if I have an announcement or something to share. If you’ve made it to the end of this thanks for sticking around 🙂

Ok lets get to this recipe!
Banana Nut French Toast Waffles w/ Maple Butter Cream Syrup
Ingredients
French Toast Waffles
- 5 Large Eggs
- ¼ Cup Heavy Cream
- ¼ Cup Brown Sugar
- (Packed)
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- ¼ tsp Salt
- 8 Slices Texas Toast Bread
- 2-3 Bananas
Maple Butter Cream
- Syrup
- 3 tbsp Butter
- ½ tsp Vanilla Extract
- ½ cups Chopped Walnuts +
- extra for garnish
- 4 tsp Cinnamon
- ¼ cup Heavy Cream
- 1 cup Maple Syrup
Instructions
Waffles
- Preheat waffle iron.
- In a large bowl or shallow dish add eggs, heavy cream, brown sugar, vanilla paste, and salt. Mix all ingredients until well combined.
- Place oven on the keep warm setting to store finished waffles. If your oven doesn't have this feature place it on a very low temperature.
- Dip each slice of texas toast into the egg batter and saturate both sides before adding it to the waffle iron to cook. My waffle iron tells me when the waffles are ready to be removed, if you don’t have this feature you can cook your waffles until they are browned and the egg batter is fully cooked.
- Cook one slice at a time unless your waffle iron has space for two slices. I also only dunk one slice of texas toast bread at a time to prevent them from getting too soggy.
Maple Butter Cream Syrup
- In a large skillet add butter and allow to melt. Next add chopped walnuts and cinnamon to the pan and cook for about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the maple syrup, heavy cream, and vanilla extract. Slowly stir and combine until everything is mixed well.
- Let the syrup cook for about 5-10 minutes. The syrup will begin to bubble up. Once cooking is complete remove from heat and allow to set for a few minutes before serving. Syrup will thicken slightly.
- For garnish slice bananas, chopped walnuts, and cinnamon. Top with syrup and enjoy!
My favorite breakfast food is pancakes! I use a vintage Betty Crocker cookbook recipe and think it is the best! Thank you!
Pancakes are always a good choice! Thanks for entering the giveaway 🙂
Oooo, this looks great! My favorite breakfast recipe is probably crepes with cinnamon apples and slightly sweetened ricotta!
That sounds amazing! I have yet to try a crepe recipe…..I may have to try this soon 😊
