Good morning guys! If you’re a new reader you probably missed my old post featuring my Banana Walnut  Bread; its super moist and delicious….best of all its super easy to make. Yesterday I baked two loaves of bread and gave one loaf to my neighbor. Whenever you have super ripe bananas hanging around its the best recipe to use them. I’m literally dying for a slice right now…..ok I’m back! I couldn’t resist šŸ˜‰ Now back to the bread. I actually sell loaves of Pumpkin Bread and Banana Walnut Bread during the fall and winter months. YES it’s that good!

This bread is definitely a tasty treat with a cup of coffee on a chilly day; I love the fall and cold weather. It’s so refreshing to breath in crisp air and watch the leaves fall from the tree. I would have to say that fall is my favorite season. It’s just something about it that makes me super happy; not to mention its the first sign of holiday season.

Now lets get into this easy recipe! I’m going to take you step by step….First what we need to do is mash the bananas until they turn in to liquid. If you are a person that prefers chunks feel free to stop mashing when the bananas reach the consistency you want. I find that if I mash the bananas into a liquid that it distributes very well throughout the bread and really flavors it nicely.

Next you want to mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in another bowl until well combined. After that add the butter, eggs, sugar, buttermilk, and vanilla flavoring to the mashed bananas and mix well. Next add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until well combined. Also be sure to add the chopped walnuts at this time if you like.

Ok now here comes the hard part….pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and place in the oven. Once the pan is in the oven sit and stare at the clock until its done. Yes thats the hardest part about this recipe. You can test the bread by inserting a toothpick into the middle of the bread; if it comes out clean its done.

Make sure to allow the loaf to cool for atleast 10-15 minutes before removing from the loaf pan. I like to add it to a baking rack to complete the cooling process. I recommend serving it while its still warm with some butter and a cup of coffee…..but of course thats just my advice šŸ˜‰

I’ve even toasted the bread before and added a little butter as soon as it popped out of the toaster. Seriously guys theres nothing better than this…….OH or heat it in the microwave for about 30 seconds and serve it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream…..ok I literally just died lol. I hope you guys enjoyed this recipe let me know what your favorite fall recipe is; Also how do you like your banana bread served?
