Hello and good morning gang! I’m back with another easy recipe for the holidays. Holiday season is in full swing and This Caramel Peach Cobbler Bread Pudding is the perfect dish to serve after any meal. I am a lover of traditional bread pudding but I wanted to take it up a notch by adding the caramel and peaches. It basically combining two of my favorite desserts to make the perfect recipe. Best of all it takes very few ingredients to make.
You’ll need Sara Lee® Artesano™ Potato Bakery Bread , eggs, heavy cream, caramel (store bought), canned peaches, butter, cornstarch, and vanilla extract. THATS ALL! If you want to dial up the presentation you can add some whipped cream to the dish when serving. This step is totally optional though its just as delicious without it.
For this recipe I decided to go with Sara Lee® Artesano™ Potato Bakery Bread. When it comes to making the perfect bread pudding it allllll comes down to the bread. It needs to be high quality and made with quality ingredients. Sara Lee® Artesano™ Potato Bakery Bread is the perfect product because it contains no artificial flavors, colors, and no high fructose corn syrup. This particular bread is also perfect for savory sandwiches and toasts. Apart from quality I loved the idea of using potato bread because its literally the most delicious bread out there! I could literally eat it all by itself its just that good 🙂 Sara Lee® Artesano™ Potato Bakery Bread is uniquely flavored with sea salt, potato, and a touch of butter. Now, I want to talk about just how easy this recipe is and how quickly it comes together. You need a handful of ingredients–most of which are probably already in your pantry and refrigerator and if not you’ll have no problem finding them at your local Walmart. I love that it’s a one stop shop and the savings aren’t bad either.
Before we jump into the full recipe. I have a few notes about the recipe.
Heavy Cream: In this recipe I used full fat heavy cream. If you are not a fan of this ingredient feel free to swap it with half & half or regular milk.
Sara Lee® Artesano™ Potato Bakery Bread: I like to cube up my bread give it a quick toast in a skillet with some butter. I think it makes a difference in the overall texture of the dish. You could also just cube your bread and allow it to sit out for a bit before adding my custard.
Butter: Make sure you are using unsalted butter for this recipe.
Canned Peaches & Store Bought Caramel: These are easy ways to create shortcuts with this recipe. If you prefer to make your own caramel and slice your own peaches please do!
Ok! Lets get started 🙂

- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 1 large can of peaches
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- Additional Ingredients
- Caramel Sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit.
- Chop bread into squares and into a large bowl. Add 2 tablespoons of melted butter and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Give everything a toss and put on a sheet pan to toast in the oven.
- Bake for 5 minutes flip over bread and bake for 5 more minutes. Remove from the oven and set aside.
- In a large bowl add eggs, heavy cream, cinnamon, vanilla extract, salt, and sugar. Whisk until very well combined. Set aside and work on the peach cobbler topping.
- In a saucepan add can of peaches, vanilla extract, salt, sugar, vanilla extract and cornstarch slurry. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to a simmer. Stir occasionally and allow mixture to thicken. Once thick cut off the heat and set aside.
- Start combining bread with the custard and allowing the bread to suck up the custard.
- Layer the bread pudding by adding a layer of soaked bread to a greased baking dish (I made to 9×9 pans) and add a layer of peaches. Repeat until all ingredients are in the baking dish. Spoon over some of the peach juice in the sauce pan to add more of the cobbler flavor.
- Place in the oven and bake uncovered for 35-40 minutes.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving. I like to reserve the peach juice in the sauce pan to spoon over each serving along with a drizzle of caramel
