I almost want to call these Al Pastor tacos but I definitely don’t want no smoke with anyone telling me that my recipe is not authentic lol. So Hawaiian Pork Tacos it is. These are just in time for Cinco De Mayo, which also just happens to be Taco Tuesday! Grab a margarita (recipes here) and these tacos to start the party now!

Best Hawaiian Pork Tacos

Ingredients
Additional Ingredients
- 2 lbs Boston butt (sliced)
- 10 Tortillas
- Cilantro (garnish)
Cream Sauce
- 1/3 cup Sour cream
- 3 tbsp Salsa verde
- Salt to taste
- pepper to taste
- 2 tsp Lime juice
- 1/4 tsp Onion + garlic powder
Pineapple Salsa
- 1 cup Chopped pineapple
- 1/3 cup White finely onion diced
- 1 tbsp Lime juice
- 2 tbsp chopped Cilantro
- Salt
- Pepper
- Pinch or two of Chili powder
Spices Rub/marinade
- 1/2 tsp Chili powder
- 1/2 tbsp Smoked paprika
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 1/2 tsp Cumin
- Handful roughly chopped Cilantro
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 1/2 cup Pineapple juice
- 1/2 tbsp Mined garlic
- 1 tbsp Chili lime
- 1 tbsp Onion powder
- 1 tbsp Garlic powder
- 1/2 tbsp Chili flakes
Instructions
- Prep pork by cutting into large pieces and placing them in a bowl or shallow dish.
- Add pineapple juice, spices, cilantro, garlic, and olive oil until well combined. Pour marinade all over pork and massage into meat. Cover and refrigerate for a minimum of 3 hours up to overnight.
- In a small bowl add sour cream, verde salsa, onion + garlic powder, salt, pepper, and lime juice. Mix until well combined. Cover and refrigerate until its serving time.
- In a separate bowl add chopped pineapple, onion, cilantro, salt + pepper, and lime juice. Mix until well combined. Cover and refrigerate until its serving time.
- Once pork is fully marinated remove from refrigerator and place on a bakers rack.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Bake pork for 1.5 hrs.
- Once Pork is completely cooked, allow to cool before chopping into small chunks/cubes.
- Grab your tortillas and toast them (optional) Also grab your Cream sauce, pineapple salsa, and cilantro.
- Build your tacos by adding pork, salsa, cream sauce, and cilantro to a tortilla.
- Serve along side your favorite sides and Enjoy!
