Hey you guys!! I’m hitting you with this new cocktail recipe! It’s a great way to go into the weekend…. Now onto the recipe! It’s fall and that means we are allllll about fall flavors up in here. This cocktail is perfect when paired with apple cider…there is honestly nothing like it!
Quick Notes
Apple Cider: I recommend using apple cider but you can totally use apple juice. I’ve used both.
Whisky: I’m using a good old fashion canadian whisky. Nothing fancy about it.
Simple Syrup: Make this with equal parts water and sugar in a saucepan. Stir over medium heat until sugar completely dissolves and let cool.
Cinnamon & Sugar: This combination definitely adds to the drink so please don’t skip it. You’ll thank me later!
Notes
Apple Juice can be used in place of apple cider if need be.
Ingredients
- 1.5 oz Whiskey
- 2 oz Apple Cider
- 1 oz Simple Syrup
- 1 oz Lemon Juice
- Ice
- Apple Slices
- Sprinkle top with cinnamon sugar (1/4 tsp cinnamon + 1/2 tsp sugar)
Instructions
- Make simple syrup by using equal parts water and sugar. Add to a saucepan and stir until sugar dissolves completely. Allow syrup to cool before using.
- Slice apple into thin slices and dip in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Add whiskey, apple cider, simple syrup, lemon juice, and ice to a shaker. Shake it like your life depends: about 20-30 seconds.
- Grab a rocks glass and pour cocktail over fresh ice. Garnish rim with apple slice and sprinkle top with cinnamon and sugar.
- Voila and Enjoy!
