Good morning Guys…and I believe a Happy Thanksgiving is in order too! I’m sure most of you already know this but it has been a month since I got married and it still feels pretty unreal. We haven’t had much time to bask in the bliss of newlywed life because life calls. I am a full time step mom so that keeps us pretty busy. The other day I was sitting around and I realized that our one month anniversary was upon us. going out really wasn’t an option but I did want to celebrate in some small way. I chose to make a cocktail in honor of our day with a few ingredients I was able to grab from the fridge.
I love black cherry so those definitely had to be incorporated, I also had some champagne….because whats a celebration without champagne?! I had a bottle of vanilla bourbon, some agave syrup from another recipe and some Tropicana lemonade.
This cocktail definitely hit the spot and was the perfect way to celebrate our one month anniversary. Its also super easy to make so let me walk you through the instructions so you can have this tasty and celebratory drink in your hand in no time.
First you want to muddle the cherries in your shaker.
Add ice cubes to the shaker and your glasses.
Next add 4 oz of Tropicana Lemonade, 2 oz of Vanilla Bourbon, 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract, And a 1/2 oz of agave syrup.
Shake everything until well combined and the shaker is cold to the touch. Pour over ice and top with champagne.
Garnish with a few black cherries and VIOLA! Sparkling Black Cherry & Vanilla Bourbon Lemonade!
I think the easiest thing about this recipe is that the ingredients are super simple and stuff that you probably already have on hand. I live in the city and enjoy a great cocktail; but when I’m unable to get out due to mom and wife duties its nice to know I can still have a fantastic cocktail to celebrate without all the fuss of the city.
- 2 oz Vanilla Bourbon
- 4 oz Tropicana Lemonade
- 10 Black Cherries (4 for garnish)
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 oz Agave Syrup
- Add your black cherries to a shaker and muddle.
- Add ice cubes to the shaker and your glasses.
- Add 4 oz of Tropicana Lemonade, 2 oz of Vanilla Bourbon, 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract, And a 1/2 oz of agave syrup.
- Place the lid on the shaker and shake everything until well combined.
- Pour over ice and top with champagne.
- Garnish with a few black cherries and Enjoy!
