Good Morning everyone and welcome back to my blog! This week in the Slim & Trim series we are featuring this Strawberry Banana Kale Smoothie which is not only filling but absolutely delicious. I think its the perfect breakfast smoothie to get your day rolling; it would also work well as a snack or meal replacement with a little added protein to help keep you full.
I used to have the hardest time making smoothies and getting that Robeks or Planet Smoothie taste but I do believe I have finally found the key to the perfect smoothie. The great thing about this recipe as well as my others is that they can be easily modified to fit your preference. I actually have another smoothie recipe going up later this week but for now lets just enjoy the beauty and deliciousness of this Strawberry Banana Kale Smoothie!

Smoothies are also perfect for gym days when you’re not quite sure what to eat. I like to drink a smoothie right before the gym because I don’t want something super heavy but I also want something that will give me enough fuel for my workout. I usually add protein powder or chia seeds whenever I want to bulk it up. If you haven’t tried it I recommend you do! You’d be surprised at just how filling a smoothie with a little added protein can make you feel full and satisfied. - 1 Cup Frozen Strawberries
- 1 Cup Kale
- 1/4 Cup banana slices
- 1 Cup ice
- 1 Tbsp Honey
- 1/2 Almond Milk
- Juice of half an orange
- Add Ice to blender.
- Add banana, kale, and strawberries to blender.
- Squeeze Orange into blender.
- Add Almond milk and honey to blender.
- Blend until smooth.
